Money Tree
Overview
An evergreen broadleaf tree with hand-shaped compound leaves consisting of up to 9 leaflets. In their natural habitat the trees can grow up to 65ft tall. Money trees often have a slightly swollen trunk base, which also serves as a water reservoir.
Water
Water deeply every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry in between. Of course, if your plant is getting more light, you'll also need to up its water intake so that it doesn't get too dried out.
Light
As a houseplant, provide enough bright indirect light. But direct sunlight will scorch its leaves. It grows naturally in partial shade beneath the canopy of other trees.
Soil
Requires a sandy, peat-moss-based soil and a pot with good drainage. Although it likes humidity in general, you should let its soil dry out between watering. A good schedule for most environments is to water when the top 2-4 inches of soil are dry.
