Overview

This is a compact, rhizomatous, evergreen perennial that grows to 1-3' tall in containers. The oval shaped leaves come in various shades of green, and some have an occasional hint of deep purple.

Water

Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

Light

Prefers medium, indirect sunlight but tolerates lower light levels too. Bright direct sunlight can cause the stunning colours on their leaves to fade.

Soil

Prefers slightly acidic soil, thriving best in an environment with a pH of around 6.5. Needs well-draining soil.
