Receive free plants that we trial at our nursery in exchange for your thoughts!

Welcome to our Insider’s Club! Every season, we trial new genetics of plants alongside our existing ones so that we can constantly observe and know we are growing the best possible variety available. Many of these new genetics have not hit the market yet, and we’d like to make them available to you in exchange for feedback. Often times new genetics are bred for new colors, improved branching, improved habit (more compact, more trailing), or just overall stronger and more durable plants for the consumer, so these are the types of questions we will be asking for feedback on from you. Please see below for more details on the program and feel free to reach out to us with any questions at hello@plantsbypost.com.

FAQ

What kind of plants can we expect?

We will be shipping mostly outdoor annual and perennial landscape plants for your garden or patio. The sizes will range from a quart (4”) to 2 gallon (10”) size. Keep in mind - there most likely won’t be any houseplants or succulents

What is my commitment if I sign up?

We ask that you give us feedback on plants that you receive. Inside of the shipping box, there will be a QR code to scan and fill out a form.

Is it mandatory?

We won’t require a response or review, but it will be greatly appreciated as it is the basis and foundation of this program.

Do I pay anything?

No, this is a free program.

How many shipments or outreaches can I expect in a year?

This will all be dependent on the volume of our trials from year to year and if your demographic aligns with the feedback that we’re seeking. It can range anywhere from 0-6 shipments per year.

Can I opt out anytime?

Yes, please send us an email at hello@plantsbypost.com if you’d like to opt out of the program.

What information do I need to provide?

We will be asking demographic questions below in addition to your email and address so that we can send the plants and shipping confirmations.

Why do I need to share demographic information?

We want to make sure we are sending plants that are optimized to you and your use/environment. Some plants will do better in small spaces or front porches and some plants will do better planted in yards in particular hardiness zones.

Where are my plants arriving from?

All of our plants are grown from seed or cutting from our facilities in Northern California (zone 10).

If they arrive in poor condition, will I receive replacements?

Our plants are picked and packaged to the highest of our standards and unfortunately we have no control of how they’re handled once they are picked up from our facility with our shipping partners. Sometimes packages can be delayed or mishandled or experience extreme weather, resulting in less than optimal plants upon arrival. Please dispose of your package and let us know if you experience this. In these cases, we will not be sending replacements.
